Korean Beef Rice Bowls
This is the bowl I make when takeout sounds good but I'd rather not order it. Beef and broccoli come together quickly in a glossy, restaurant-style sauce, and rice underneath makes sure nothing goes to waste.
The savory sauce here is what makes this bowl taste like something you'd order out, with a balance of salty and slightly sweet that coats the beef as it cooks down. Broccoli adds crunch and a bit of green against all that glossy sauce.
Beef holds up well to reheating, especially in a sauce this flavorful, since the extra day in the fridge only gives the meat more time to soak it in. Rice is really the only base I'd use here, since it's built to catch every bit of that sauce.
Full ingredient amounts and the sauce ratio are on the recipe card, scaled for ten portions. Let the beef cool before dividing it into containers, then refrigerate what you'll eat within four days and freeze the rest. This Korean beef bowl is one of the more flavorful options I keep stocked.
